March Newsletter 2026

Ottawa County Republicans' Newsletter

March 30, 2026  08:3

Editor's Preamble:

Hello Ottawa County Republicans,

March has been busy for our Precinct Delegates! Read our coverage below on the outcome of the Michigan Republican Party State Endorsement Convention! The Secretary of State and Attorney General candidates for the general election were voted on this past weekend.

Also this month, we have special coverage and stories regarding the Ottawa Onslaught, where we have some specific updates on the issues surrounding the BESS storage facility project for Blendon Township as well as the Solar Panel project planned for 1300 acres in Zeeland Township. Even if you are not near these areas of Ottawa, it's important for you to be informed because your neighborhood could be next, given the power that PA 233 has right now in Michigan.

We open our March Newsletter with a ray of hope from the citizens in these impacted communities who are demonstrating courage by standing together against these initiatives. A little further down, there is special story regarding this photo.

Enjoy the Newsletter!

Election Information

This is a big election year!

Here is the most important thing you need to know as an Ottawa County Republican for 2026:

May 5, 2026: Special Election.

August 4, 2026: Primary Election.

November 3, 2026: General Election.

Please join us *by saving these dates* to vote on May 5, August 4 and November 3. We cannot give Democrats another trifecta in our state government.

*It is our civic responsibility to vote and save our state. Every conservative vote is needed. Michigan is electing a new Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General AND a United States Senator this year, along with many key state House and Senate races.

Please save the above graphic to your phone and text or email it to ten Republican friends/family members.

*PA 233 Ottawa Onslaught*

PA 233, is legislation that was passed in Lansing by the 2023 Democratically controlled Michigan Congress. PA 233 takes power away from Townships and Municipalities and gives it to the State Government to the degree, that if local citizens weren't actively fighting it by attending meetings and making their voices heard at a constant rate online, outside foreign corporations would have already bulldozed portions of Blendon Township and Zeeland Township with no regard at all for this citizens. ***This is courtesy of Whitmer's Michigan. In Ottawa County, there are currently several initiatives and we anticipate more. The current two that are proposed in Ottawa are for a Battery storage facility in Blendon Township and now a solar farm proposed for Zeeland Township.
