Welcome to the one-year Anniversary of newly launched Newsletter! We appreciate you taking the time to hang out with us each month!
Thanks too, to those of you who voted in the Primary Election. Turnout was considered average. We're hoping to see many more of you in the upcoming General election on November 5th when we hope to see Ottawa County voters out in droves to support Donald J. Trump and J.D. Vance!
In this month's Newsletter, we have Convention coverage for you, as well as a tribute to one of our beloved delegates whose life was cut short this past month. We celebrate his extraordinary contribution to The Ottawa County Republican Party!

Christians Increasingly Consider Their Voice In Culture...
Dr. Tim Penning, is a Professor of Public Relations at GVSU. In this recent Blog post above, reflects on the one-year Anniversary of "Coming Out Christian" in the middle of Pride Month of 2023.
This blog post is also for Christians who have felt it prudent to be silent about their faith. I would encourage them to consider their democratic right and righteous calling to share what the Bible says not just in the church but to the culture at large. This is what the disciples and apostles did.

Ingredients
For the pretzel crust

1 cup pretzel crumbs (from about 2 cups of mini pretzels)

1/4 cup granulated sugar

6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
For the strawberry filling

2 pounds strawberries, hulled and quartered, divided
-
4 tablespoons granulated sugar, plus more to taste

3 tablespoons cornstarch
-
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice, plus more to taste
-
2 tablespoons water
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
1 teaspoon finely grated orange zest
For the whipped cream cheese topping

4 ounces full fat cream cheese, room temperature
-
1/3 cup powdered sugar
-
1 cup cold heavy cream
-
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Pinch of salt
For garnishing
