The OCRP Warns Voters about the Many Millages on the Ballot This Coming MAY 6th...

There is great deal of local concern regarding the MANY Millages on the MAY 6th Ballot. Districts are asking for millages every year now, yet they are asking for more than merely what it takes to fund the Districts. We ask you to take the time to become Informed on these issues. We recommend voting NO until there is more transparency and all of the Districts are back to valuing the basics of Literacy, Math, US History, and Science. **Too much money is spent on athletic facilities and woke curriculum instead of teachers and students.

Don't be deceived by "tricky names" like Special Education. Do your homework and become an informed voter. We are sounding the alarm as senior citizens are being taxed out of their homes because they live on fixed incomes. Ottawa County's Senior Community cannot afford to keep having their property taxes go up and up and up because the Districts are asking for Millages year after year after year.

Have you ever thought about what it would mean to get "taxed" out of your home? Please do your research and VOTE on May 6th

Accountability Behavior Report-The Bad and The Excellent

The Bad News First: Six Republican Commissioners voted to Fund DEI in Ottawa County...

We are wondering why six Ottawa County Republican Commissioners are sending your tax dollars to DEI after hundreds of corporations have listened to the President and the People! Do these local Commissioners dislike President Trump’s agenda? If so, does *their* ideology matter more than yours? Ottawa County voted 60% for President Trump and his policies of ending DEI. It seems a strange time for them to be funding it…

Business Spotlight

The Old Wedding Barn, LLC

Mitch and Kelli VanOverloop own this charming Wedding destination right here in Ottawa County. We highly recommend this business because they defend the traditional, Biblical ideals of Marriage. In fact, they were a topic of the news when Wood TV 8 went after them for not being willing to rent their property to homosexual couples. They stood strong throughout a media onslaught of negative press and have remained steadfast in their courageous stance for Biblical principles in marriage. The problem is, since things live forever on the internet, the negative media attention hasn't helped their business. **If you know anyone who's looking to have a graduation party or get married in a wedding barn, pease recommend this beautiful venue in the heart of Hudsonville.

Our Marriage Policy

"Because God has ordained marriage and defined it as the covenant relationship between a man, a woman and Himself, the Old Wooden Barn will only recognize marriages between a biological man and a biological woman. Further, the staff of the Old Wooden Barn shall only participate in and host weddings between a man and a woman. We thank you for respecting our Christian family values!"

The Problem with Special Elections...

Since the Schools are receiving 17.4 Billion from other sources of revenue, do they *really* "need" your property taxes?

Not So Old

A Plea to the Churches of Ottawa County...

Last year, prior to the May Millage election, Move it Christian published this thoughtful piece by Kelsea Studebaker, one of our precinct delegates. This news doesn't seem so old given that the Biblical truths she put forward in her plea last year, still apply this year.

Opinion/Satire

The OCRP Develops List of Reasonable Questions; Deems LetterGate a 'Mere' Kerfuffle...'

***You decide which issue you care about more, Brugger's dramatic dismay? Or Moss' decision to warn GVSU about potential lost funding since the United States President is playing hardball and following through on defunding institutions who don't follow the EO's?. Read the full article HERE

Brugger's response leaves us wondering why Commissioner Brugger, a "Republican,"  seems so intentional about keeping DEI alive in Ottawa County in spite of Executive Orders and a landslide-election mandate?
