Point of Information and Clarity
The Communications Subcommittee Charter includes our Policies, Scope, Mission Statement and Values. These documents were unanimously passed by the Executive Committee in October of 2023 and work side by side with our Bylaws.
It is a fact that the Public dislikes Party infighting. Therefore, listening and respecting our Public audience means we solve delegate and/or organizational grievances privately.
(1) Given the Public’s distain for Party infighting, it does not help get Republicans elected **which is what we are here to do.**
(2) Delegates *already have access* to the Chair and Vice Chair and can speak with them anytime to seek solutions.
(3) Our sanctioned communications for delegates specifically include email, texts and USPS. As long as a delegate is receiving what is sanctioned for delegates specifically, they are being included in communications they are entitled to as a precinct delegate.
(4) The Public brand is intended for anyone in the public outside of the delegation, who is not also an informed delegate. The page is for Voter Education, Candidate Information, Promotion of our Public Events, Promotion of Fundraisers, Volunteer Opportunities, etc.
Like other private organizations and 501c4’s, we maintain public social media pages to promote our organization and inform the Public. These public spaces that bear our name are not spaces for delegate complaints or asking antagonistic questions that can be answered by contacting a Subcommittee Chair or meeting with Chair/Vice Chair personally. We keep disagreements and grievances internal which is the right and responsibility of any [healthy] private organization. The First Amendment does not protect against the consequences of antagonistic speech on our public social pages/brand. It does however, protect an individual from being arrested or imprisoned for their speech, as it *should.*
